Do not update to OS 10.7, Rendering window scaling is incorrectly set and does not generate whole field view. Continue to use OS 10.6x.
If EM3D doesn't launch when using Mac OS 10.6x, change Java Preferences preferred order from 64 bit to 32 bit.(Applications> Utilities> Java Preferences.
